Join us for a workshop on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) presented by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension and hosted by Yavapai College’s Southwest Wine Center. This workshop will take place over 2 sessions and focus on integrated pest management techniques, vineyard scouting, soil & plant nutrition sampling, virus management, and fruit sampling in the vineyard.

Integrated Pest Management is a comprehensive approach to pest management that combines multiple strategies to minimize the use of pesticides while effectively controlling pests. This workshop will delve into the critical aspects of IPM and its application in vineyard settings.

Proper vineyard scouting and sampling is critical to your vineyard operations, allowing you to make crucial management decisions proactively and make the most out of every vintage.

The first day (June 5th) consists of classroom lecture and discussion about IPM, scouting, and sampling principles and applications. We will then reconvene a week later (June 12th) at the Yavapai College Vineyard in Clarkdale for a morning of activities that put our classroom learning into practice. The 2-session series is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Matt Haldorson, from UA’s Cooperative Extension will lead the workshop. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about sustainable pest management strategies and practical vineyard techniques.
The workshop is limited to 26 people. Register now to secure your spot.
